Situated on more than 10 acres and occupying 6 blocks, RaDD represents the largest urban commercial waterfront site along California’s Pacific Coast. This iconic life science district will transform downtown San Diego’s waterfront with over 5 acres of green space, best-in-class retail, outdoor dining, public art, and a destination event space. RaDD’s incredible connected location offers quick access to the Trolley, Amtrack, San Diego International Airport, and Coronado ferry.

Desanco provided advice in the early stages of the project to optimize the jet fan layout of the car park based on the identified potential locations of supply & exhaust risers, resulting in the development of a mechanical ventilation solution with the complete elimination of all supply and exhaust ducts. Highlights of this significant project include:

  • 3 levels of parking spanning 3 city blocks

  • Approximately 1,059,000 sq. ft of car park (98,000+ sqm)

  • 2,008 parking spaces

  • 79 jet fans
